#J508 is the first grad-level class for the entering students in the professional master’s in journalism program at the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communication. The UO, located in Eugene, Oregon. The class, called Reporting and Information Strategies, makes use of Tim Harrower’s Inside Reporting, the AP Stylebook and Mark Briggs‘ Journalism 2.0, along with just about any resource we can find online, especially Nieman Lab, the Columbia Journalism Review and the Knight Digital Media Center, among others. Our class only lasts four weeks, but they’ll be four weeks of exploration, experimentation, enjoyment and extraordinary work.
